Some Absolutes: Very different from other course, you must never drag your feet over foreign language courses. Chances of succeeding in a foreign language course is dim if you prolong the process where the minimum time that you have to devote is 3 hours weekly and 15 minutes on a daily basis. Try and devote all the surplus time in learning the language but take care not to spend more than 45 minutes in any one session.

Fork out your whole study material into several manageable units. Class Attendance is mandatory and necessary in order to pass the course particularly if you are serious about learning the language. You could revisit your learning off and on and check what your have learnt in the past, for example the vocabulary. Give below are some clues which can make your attempt to learn a foreign language as easy as ABC.

Perusing through printed matter: Try to comprehend what is written rather than worrying too much over unknown words. Glance through the text book chapters every day taking one small section at a time.

Start expressing: Do not feel shy of mistakes, simply listen to others and start to communicate yourself. You can have a good practice of the foreign language if you speak out loudly to yourself, to others in the same class or with your dog or cat at home.

Jotting it down: Go through the exercise of noting down things on paper till you no longer have to take any extra effort to do it.

Write down a passage of the language as part of a dictation from a friend and then correct your own writing.

Other helps: Must have a positive deportment and know your goals and reasons for studying the foreign language. Know the learning objectives and also how to achieve those goals.

Foreign Language

Important guidelines: It is not proper to postpone any foreign language course as it is a completely new kind of course. When you delay in a foreign language course, you can consider yourself a failure as this kind of courses require a minimum of 3 hours weekly and 15 minutes on a daily basis. It is recommended that you cull out all the extra time in your hands and spend it in studying the language but never more than 45 minutes per session.

Distribute your whole study into small units. If you are serious about learning the language, attend classes regularly in order to pass. Evaluate your past learning regularly for your own benefit, for example check out the vocabulary. Hints given blow would make your attempt to learn the foreign language easier.

Grasping the written words: Check out only those words where no conjecture can help or whose meanings can not be surmised. Make it a routine to browse through the chapters of the textbook everyday.

Move on to talking: Everyone makes mistakes so listen to what others are saying and start to talk. You can start practicing the foreign language by talking to your self, talking to others who are in the same class or even with your pet dog or cat.

Writing: Hone your writing skills everyday till you no longer fumble.

Follow a dictation of the language and check how much of it you have written correctly.

Miscellany: Study the foreign language with a positive frame of mind, have pre-set objectives and goals.
